Edward Kelly was born 27 July 1817 in Bruff, County Limerick, Ireland to Edward Kelly (1791-1871) and Mary McGrath (1791-1876) and died 4 July 1895 Popran Creek, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes.
At age of 24 in 1842 with his mother Mary and brother John sailed to New South Wales on the Royal Saxon a ship owned and commanded by his father's old friend Robert Towns. His father had arrived in the Colony of New South Wales 24 years earlier as a convict in 1818 when Edward was only a baby.
Buried Spencer Holy Trinity Church with wife Hannah.
