Edward Miles was born circa 1760 in Launceston, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom and died 19 August 1838 Windsor, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Susannah Smith (c1776-1838) 31 October 1803 in Saint John's, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.
He arrived in New South Wales on 26 January 1788 on the Scarborough (part of the First Fleet) as a convict.
