Edward Turnbull was born 7 February 1881 in Greywell, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom to Edward Weddell Turnbull (1847-1897) and Katherine Jessie Cooper (1854-1937) and died 16 June 1934 Billericay, Essex, England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes.
Edward was the eldest son of Edward Weddell Turnbull and Katherine Jessie Cooper. He served in the Essex Imperial Yeomanry. The Family moved to Basildon around 1894 and resided in a home called "The Rowans" for many years. In 1901 he is reported to be working as a Traveller in the Tea trade while living at home with his Mother and younger brothers. In 1911 he is listed as a Commercial Traveller while living at home in Basildon with his mother and brothers. Edward never married.
