Biography[]
His wife, Luella Whitney, is the grand-daughter of LDS Pioneer, Newel K Whitney, and was the last of Heber C Kimball's many daughters-in-law to die at age 90.
Elias Kimball was President of the Southern States Mission (1895-1897?). Elias Kimball later was released six months early to become the first LDS military Chaplain and served during the Spanish-American War in 1897-98. He served in the regiment commanded by Willard Young, Brigham’s son and West point graduate. This unit saw service in Cuba.
Buried 18-Jun-1934 in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
