Biography
Elijah Norman Freeman II was born 20 May 1845 in La Harpe, Hancock County, Illinois, United States to Elijah Norman Freeman (1822-1846) and Mary Bingham (1820-1893) and died 14 March 1936 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes. He married Anna Marie Poulsen (1844-1873) 11 March 1872 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He married Mary Ann Farley (1855-1936) 24 April 1876 in Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.
Elijah's father, Elijah Norman Freeman (1822-1846) died during the march of the Mormon Battalion.
1887 St Johns Stake Presidency
On 23 July 1887, the Eastern Arizona Stake of the LDS Church was divided to create the new St. Johns Arizona Stake with David King Udall (1851-1938) as president. Elijah was called to serve in the stake presidency as his 1st counselor.[1]
