Elisha Kilbourn was born before 23 October 1726 in Wethersfield, Connecticut, United States to Hezekiah Kilbourn (1700-) and Elizabeth Allyn (1700-aft1752) and died 23 February 1813 Sandisfield, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Sarah Robbins (1729-1810) 7 June 1748 in Wethersfield, Connecticut, United States.

Samuiel Armstong (January 30, 1839 – May 11, 1893) was born in Hawaii of missionary parents. He was an educator and a commissioned officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He is best remembered for his work after the war as the founder and first principal of the normal school which is now Hampton University.
