Note
This woman has been mistaken for Elizabeth Handley Hudson, widow of George Ernest Hudson (1862-1926), who died 6 October 1945 (see her death notice). The latter's marriage notice identifies her as Elizabeth Handley Morison, daughter of William Cuthbert Morison (c1817-1880) and his wife Janet (c1818-1883). This mistake leads to Elizabeth Balgowan being given the spurious middle name "Handley", and her father the spurious middle name "Cuthbert".
