Daughter of a wealthy landowner, which was of value to her husband. Nothing seems to be known of her grandparents except that Wikipedia states that her mother was "daughter of Thomas Crane of Newton Tony, Wiltshire".

Her death was stated to be 1665, but legend says she faked it for security and actually died in 1672.
