Biography
The daughter of Mormon pioneers, Elizabeth Ellen would become a pioneer herself when in 1886, she and her husband led their young family to help the settle the new Mormon Colonies in Colonia Diaz, Mexico. They lived their many years running a cattle ranch, until Poncho Villa's raiders forced them out in 1912.
Because of US laws prohibiting polygamy, she and Moses could not live together. She went with the older children to live in Idaho, while Moses stayed in Arizona to help raise the younger children from his later marriage there.
