Elizabeth of Cilli was born circa 1441 to Ulrich II, Count of Cilli (1406-1456) and Katarina Branković (c1418-1492) and died 6 November 1455 Hunyadi Castle Hunedoara, Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania of unspecified causes.
Elizabeth of Cillli or Elizabeth of Celje was the only known daughter of Ulrich II of Celje and Katarina Branković. Her maternal grandparents were Đurađ Branković and Irene Kantakouzene.
Elizabeth was married to Matthias Corvin in August 1955. But Elizabeth died at the age of fifteen on 6 November 1455, before the marriage was consummated, leaving Matthias a widower at the age of twelve. She died in the Hunyadi Castle in Hunedoara[1]
