Elizabeth Keppel was born 15 November 1739 to William Anne van Keppel, 2nd Earl of Albemarle (1702-1754) and Anne Lennox (1703-1789) and died 2 November 1768 Lisbon, Portugal of consumption. She married Francis Russell, Marquess of Tavistock (1739-1767) 1 June 1764 .
