Elodie Caselli was born 1870 to Caterina Caselli and died 1945 of unspecified causes.

Elodie Caselli studied harp with Emma Consolini at the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna, Italy. After graduation she started her career as a harpist participating in various concertos in Italy and France. In 1892, Eduard Wachmann (1836-1908), rector of the Bucharest Conservatory requested her to come to Bucarest to teach harp. At the beginning she took the assignment free of charge, but later was appointed professor at the Conservatory. She also developed the first program for teaching harp at the Conservatory.

Among the harpists who were her students, the most important were: Margareta Grigorescu-Mihăilescu, Florence Coandă Lupaşcu (her daughter), Sabina Niculescu, Petrovici Zorello, Zillo Mihail-Dabo, Clara Ionescu-Nicolau, Marica Papagheorghe-Pessione, Florinda Piantini-Irineu, Florance Ţiţeica.
