From the Waverly Free Press, 21 May 1909: "Dean Creek - Through a former communication being lost or mislaid in some way, an earlier mention of the death of Mrs. Wm. Wright has not been made in this paper. Mrs. Wright, who was 78 years of age, died on April 25. As Emma Bailey, she was born near Maine, Broome county, and that was her home until 1862, when, with her family, she moved to Litchfield, Pa., and twenty-five years later to this section, which has since been her home and where she was well known. The funeral and burial occurred at Lockwood. She is survived by four sons and four daughters, all residents of this section, Frederick C., Martin, John E., and Henry Wright, Mrs. W.H. Huffman, Mrs. B.F. Parsons, Mrs. G.A. Seamon and Miss Martha Wright. She also leaves a brother and three sisters, Hiram Bailey, Mrs. Martha Curlhair and Mrs. Lydia Decker, of Maine, and Mrs. Mary Butts, of West Chenango."
