He married Tabitha Catherine Chastain (1842-1870) 3 February 1861 in Banks County, Georgia, United States.
Enoch married his wife, Tabitha Catherine Chastain (1842-1870) only just shortly before the start of the Civil War. Just a few months later he enlists in Company A, 24th Georgia Infantry Regiment with two of his cousins, Armour Mack Rucker (1844-1932) and Moses Rucker (1840-1862).
Their first child was born in 1861, but their second child not until July 1864. The 24th Georgia saw active duty almost the entire duration of the war.
