Obituary

DEATH OF MR E. A. BLACKMAN

The death occurred in the Dangar Cottage Hospital in the early hours of this morning of Mr Ernest Alfred Blackman, an old and respected resident of the district, at the advanced age of 76 years. For some time he has been residing at Neotsfield with his son, Mr Robert Blackman. Born at Brighton, England, the late Mr Blackman came to Australia about 50 years ago. About 45 years ago he married Miss Sarah Spinks, the union taking place in Singleton. Since that time he has resided in this district. His wife passed to the Great Beyond in 1910. The late Mr Blackman is survived by three sons and a daughter. The sons are Messrs John Frederick (Bellingen), Eric (Branxton) and Robert (Neotsfield), whilst the daughter is Mrs F. Nicholson, of Brisbane. The funeral will be Conducted to-morrow, leaving Neotsfield at 11 a.m.
