Ernest George Bowden was born 18 September 1874 in Raymond Terrace, New South Wales, Australia to George Bowden (1837-1929) and Maria Fountain (1841-1932) and died 20 May 1905 12 Union-street, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia of pneumonia. He married Edith Mary Hinde (1875-1961) 27 April 1904 in St. Mark's Church of England, Islington, New South Wales, Australia.
