Esther Pitt was born 1 March 1785 in Belchalwell, Dorset, England, United Kingdom to Robert Pitt (1734-1787) and Mary Matcham (1755-1815) and died 9 May 1836 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married James Wilshire (1771-1840) 12 March 1805 in St Philips, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

She arrived in New South Wales on 14 December 1801 on the Canada with her mother as a free settler.

On Monday evening, 9th instant, at her residence, George Street, Esther, the wife of James Wilshire, Esq., after a short illness of three weeks.
