WATSON—GRESLEY.—On September 3, at St. Jude's Church, South Kensington, the Rev. Thomas H. Watson, D.D., of "Norwood Lodge," South Norwood, to Ethel Beatrice Lempriere, youngest daughter of the late Nigel Gresley, Manager of the Union Bank of Australia, Hobart.

LOFTUS—WATSON.—On June 7, at Minster, Kent, Lord George Loftus to Ethel Beatrice Lempriere, daughter of the late Nigel Gresley, of Hobart, and widow of the Right Rev. T. H. Watson, D.D.

¶ Death

The death of the Marchioness of Ely occurred recently (says an English exchange) at The Gables, Furze Hill, Hove, Sussex. She was the second wife of Lord Ely, to whom she was married in 1902. Her father was the late Mr. Nigel Gresley, of Hobart, Tasmania. The late Marchioness had one son, Viscount Loftus, who is heir to the Marquess.
