Evelyn Hammond was born circa 1881 in England, United Kingdom to Robert John Hammond (c1853-aft1911) and Lucy E Banner (c1856-1915) and died circa 1966 England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes. She married George Henry Whitcomb (1890-) 23 October 1916 in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.
Evelyn was the daughter of Birmingham artist Robert John Hammond (c1853-aft1911). At the age of 10 she was living with her family at 90 Kyrswicks Lane, Bordesley [1]. By the time Evelyn was 19, the family had moved to 467 Moseley Road, Balsall Heath [2] (The children appear separate to the parents[3] because the property happens to span two pages in the records, but all lived together.) She was still living with her parents in 1911, at 3 Walford Road, Sparkbrook [4], before marrying in 1916.
In the electoral rolls of 1922-1927[5], Evelyn is registered at the Walford Road property alongside her father, with no mention of her husband. Neither of them are registered there from 1930.
