Subdivisions[]
The official 1st-level subdivision is the 14 Parishes of Jamaica. But they are fairly small by world standards, averaging barely 200,000 population each, definitely not on a par with England, Western Australia, or Texas.
"Above" the parishes are three historical counties. In case they are mentioned in old documents, we could treat them as the "nation-subdiv1" and drop the parishes into the level-2 slot, "counties" - same as Louisiana.
