No dead links on this wiki??
Ha!
(Actually, we should always leave something in the sandbox so that newbies don't get terrified at seeing a totally blank box. Robin Patterson 06:50, 28 September 2006 (UTC))
- The Sand box does have some uses besides just getting comfortable with the editing idea. Better to experiment here than create "test" pages Bill 13:00, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Up to a point I agree. (And leaving that link table will be a bonus, maybe.) But your Test Portal was well worth having on a separate page, and you wouldn't have wanted lots of experimenters fiddling with it! I hope you like the latest basic, BASIC instructions for "Absolute beginners". Robin Patterson 20:33, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, creation of the "Test Portal" seemed to work well off on the side---but then, I wasn't messing with someone else's work. I wanted to be sure in the case of the test material that the layout would come out reasonably before I went in and fiddled with the layout of the original. And yes, the "Absolute beginner's" entry is also helpful. I think bit by bit we are adding pieces to make the site work more effectively.Bill 22:33, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
