All in working order, still fairly short
Recently revised a little. Do a brief tour as part of the Wikia tour system. Then on this page you can suggest pages that we should add to it. I won't make you do the donkey work!! Robin Patterson 06:21, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Suggestions for additional "stops"

Now the TourBusStop?
(Originally posted on the Watercooler)
While we are refining and embellishing our Wikia tour, I think we could try to join the outside organisation of TourBusStop. Possibly NOT appropriate for individual wikicities: see discussion at WC Central.
Starting page, if we can do it, can/should be Genealogy:TourBusStop (where I have copied and slightly adapted the required page)? However, a look at the existing wikis suggests that it is absolutely necessary to have it in the main namespace as TourBusStop. Need to enquire further.
Any other comments/warnings/help before someone dives in?

bypassing redirect and augmenting text
Now checked the whole tour again, dealing with a couple of double redirects and updating several sentences of accompanying text. (Also restored the whole tour of the next Wikia on the list!)
We have some more impressive pages now. Any with templates that use PAGENAME are probably unsuitable for inclusion in the tour but can be referenced from within it (as I do at Familypedia:Wikia tour/Greene County, Ohio).
Other pages now worth including
It didn't stop for me, but, as I explained somewhere (e.g. on Familypedia:Wikia tour/Greene County, Ohio), it was unable to do a proper job of displaying person articles and some other pages, so I modified it - maybe not enough? -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 04:21, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, my bad. The Special:DoubleRedirects now reports double redirects in the "Familypedia" namespace, which throws up a lot of old stuff from the days of the rename from "Genealogy" to "Familypedia", which I have been slowly working through. Which page do you want me to restore? Thurstan (talk) 04:33, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
