Floris the Black van Holland, Count of Holland, was born circa 1115 to Floris II van Holland (1085-1122) and Geertruid Petronella van Lotharingen (c1092-1144) and died 26 October 1132 Utrecht of assassination.
Floris contested his brother's reign, gaining joint sovereignty after his first rebellion, but losing his life after the second.
