::::Let me see if I got this straight in my head. You would use this template at the beginning of an article, as a kind of disambiguation notification. So, for example, on the '''Natalius the Confessor''' page, you might find: ''see also Nautilus the Confessor'' (generated by the aforesaid template) just in case someone mistyped (not that either of the above persons would ever make such an error). nudge nudge wink wink

::::In other words, this would ''not'' be used for the =Also See= section at the end of the article.

Forums: Index > Watercooler > "See also" - save time with new template

One of my imports from WP is template:seealso.

Use it like this:{{seealso|USA/Virginia/Rockbridge}} to produce this:

For more than one page, just add another pipe and the next pagename. No brackets, no apostrophes, no trying to work out how to do an indent, no need for a final "and", because the clever programmers at WikiMedia think of everything eventually.

There are more. Some of them are more or less usable now. If you find one (by tracking up and down the category tree) that you could use that seems incomplete, tell me so's I can see whether the fix is within my expertise.

Let me see if I got this straight in my head. You would use this template at the beginning of an article, as a kind of disambiguation notification. So, for example, on the Natalius the Confessor page, you might find: see also Nautilus the Confessor (generated by the aforesaid template) just in case someone mistyped (not that either of the above persons would ever make such an error). nudge nudge wink wink
In other words, this would not be used for the =Also See= section at the end of the article.
Or do I have this wrong? Thanks. Zephyrinus 23:36, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
