I have tried over and over again to find out why the last people on my ahnentafel for my own page [[William Allen Shade (1968)]] don't fill out. Anyone see the error? Thanks - [[User:Elrondlair|William Allen Shade]] 19:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

:Yes, the clue is that the page is in [[:Category:Pages with too many expensive parser function calls]]. There is a set limit to how many "Does this page exist?" operations you are allowed: when you reach the limit, any excess just fail. Also the page "automatically" appears in the quoted category. We have discussed this, and found no workaround. However, using the new SMW properties (rather than the infopage data) should enable ahnentafels of any length. I have tried over and over again to find out why the last people on my ahnentafel for my own page William Allen Shade (1968) don't fill out. Anyone see the error? Thanks - William Allen Shade 19:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the clue is that the page is in Category:Pages with too many expensive parser function calls. Thurstan 22:00, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
