- Since we can have no mechanism for verifying anything (except for geographic and historical facts in Wikipedia), it is entirely up to each contributor how reliable their assertions are. Note that our operating model is Wikipedia, so that we would like all assertions to be supported by verifiable references, but we cannot enforce that at all. Also note that this model means that the author of a page has no special ownership rights to it, and anyone may change it at any time in any way they think fit.
