Just an idea I am throwing out there. What if we could get USGenWeb to move their stuff to this wiki. I think it would be the perfect forum for it. It is a collection of researchers adding information to a certain subject. It would certainly add to our location information. I have no idea if they would be interested though I think most of the county sites are independent. Dunno if the powers that be think it would be a good idea or even practical but there it is. - William Allen Shade 18:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

It is a good idea. Whenever we have a link from a locality page to its GenWeb page, one of us can write to them and invite them. I did with the NSW group. But their group site is still hosted by RootsWeb, which doesn't allow competitors to "advertise". — Robin Patterson (Talk) 02:12, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
After viewing your note, I poked around a little on their site. Maybe you folks can fill me in since I don't get out much. Are there large collections of tabular material at that site? I ask because tabluar material is not copyrightable and we can import carte blanche. I can write the importing bot if it looks like they follow a fairly uniform format. Is there any particular material you had in mind William? ~ Phlox 02:32, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
