Forums: Index > Watercooler > Inbreeding

See Coefficient of Inbreeding (CoI) for a proposal to compute a CoI. The CoI would be stored as a property and calculated recursively. Besides the value of the information on the CoI itself, it would in time permit us to look at the correlation of the CoI with such things as longevity and infant mortality.

The only drawback is that I propose to use my own definition, as Sewell's definition is incomplete and (nigh?) impossible to compute here. rtol 09:56, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
