Again with no apparent notice to us, Wikia have updated our SF to a new version. So a lot of our instructions may be out of date. At least we have some idea where to look for recent chaos.
See Familypedia talk:Semantic MediaWiki for an outline of the update. However, it won't explain all of the differences that have been brought in since we got an earlier update in March 2010; there have been several updates to SF but this may be the only one we have had since then.

For slightly easier access, I've now copied Help:Semantic forms from the MediaWiki site. Robin Patterson (Talk to me) 13:04, February 27, 2011 (UTC)
I think the first benefit of 2.0.8 may have appeared: those of us who are using Firefox can update a sensor page merely by doing the obvious, i.e. by clicking on the link that says "Create or update sensor page", after we hit "Edit with form" on an article or "Edit facts" on an article's general infobox. So no more fiddling with the address bar? Maybe people who aren't using Firefox can use the forms too? Try with Test Person. Still we can't use the corresponding button to create a sensor page, because that just goes to "......&action=formedit", which just refreshes the page you are on; there may be a simple answer somewhere, but probably not at 2 in the morning.
