I have my own family tree on Ancestry that I want to transfer to Familypedia. How do I go about doing so?
I attached the beginning of my descent from John de Wingfield, in the photo on the right. He’s technically my 22nd great-grandfather—I’m related to him through the second marriage of my 10th great-grandfather, which Ancestry called a “step” marriage.
- Basically, you just create a page here for each of the people in your lineage. Don't forget to include the year-of-birth and the year-of-death in each pagename, as outlined in the help documentation. Please check to see if there are already existing pages (especially in the "oldest" section of the line) so that you don't create duplicates. Thurstan (talk) 03:49, March 6, 2020 (UTC)
- I note that you have already created a page for yourself: I have standardized the pagename. Please add YoB and (if necessary) YoD to your parent's names. Note that "maiden surnames" are the genealogical standard, so your mother's page should be "Jacqueline Yvette Tyler (YoB)". Note also that plaenames use the Wikipedia pagenames as standard, so "Monmouth County, New Jersey" rather than just "Monmouth". Once you fix your parent's links, you can created pages for them, and so on back to the Royal ancestrors you desire. Thurstan (talk) 05:12, March 6, 2020 (UTC)
