I'm new to GenWikia and also new to editing WIKI pages. I just heard about this wiki (through the Emerging Tech mailing list) and am intrigued and see a possible avenue into contributing to WIKIs. I've read quite a bit of the help pages.
But I'm trying to get a handle on how this wiki is organized. And it's not clear to me. I keep wanting to find some sort of index, or an outline that makes it clear how to choose where to place one's pages.
For example, I saw reference to a "Special Projects" area with a number of pages included. I've also seen reference to a "Mayflower Descendants" page. But the Mayflower Descendants page is not part of Special Projects.
I'm actually interested in a "Winthrop's Fleet" project, as I've done quite a bit of research on several lines that were part of the this early migration and I think that would be a great way to plug into this wiki. It would be similar to the Mayflower Descendants, but list/link to the descendants of those who came over during the Great Migration.
Such a section (or even information) about Winthrop's Fleet does not appear to be here yet, and I'm unsure how to go about setting such up. And because of my newness to being a wiki contributor, I feel like I'm stepping into waters a bit over my head.
