She married Claude Bowes-Lyon, 13th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (1824-1904) 28 September 1853 in London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom.
Frances became the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne in 1865 when her husband's brother died. She was ultimately (posthumously) a great-grandmother of Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
