Francis Alexander Lascelles Jardine was born 14 February 1893 in Whitecliffe, Queensland, Australia to John Robert Jardine (1846-1911) and Elizabeth Catherine Murray-Prior (1854-1940) and died 25 April 1950 Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Madge Dorothy Ellen Blackman (1900-1977) 15 October 1924 in St. Thomas's Church, Toowong, Queensland, Australia.

Obituary

Obituary.—The death is announced of Mr Francis Alexander Lascelles Jardine, 57, a descendant of the well known Jardine pioneering family. He was an Agriculture Department officer in Stanthorpe. He was a member of the 5th Light Horse Regiment in World War I. He had intended to take, part in the Anzac commemoration, but died early on the morning of Anzac Day. He leaves his wife and one son—Mr Murray Jardine.

  • A wedding of considerable interest in various parts of the State was celebrated at St. Thomas's Church, Toowong, last evening, when Francis Alexander Lascells, only surviving son of the late Mr. John Jardine and of Mrs. Jardine, who now resides at Stanthorpe, was married to Madge Dorothy Elles, only daughter of the late Mr. A. H. Blackman and of Mrs. Blackman, Kensington terrace, Toowong.
