Francis Scott, Earl of Dalkeith, was born 19 February 1721 to Francis Scott, 2nd Duke of Buccleuch (1695-1751) and Jane Douglas (1701-1729) and died 1 April 1750 of smallpox. He married Caroline Campbell (1717-1794) 2 October 1742 in London, England, United Kingdom.
