Biography
Frederik Hendrik van Oranje, Prince of Orange, Count of Nassau, Baron of Breda, Stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland, Overijssel and Groningen, was born 29 January 1584 in Delft, Netherlands to Willem van Oranje (1533-1584) and Louise de Coligny (1555-1620) and died 15 March 1647 The Hague, Netherlands of unspecified causes. He married Amalia zu Solms-Braunfels (1602-1675) 4 April 1625 .
Frederick led the Dutch rebellion after his brother's death. He married his first cousin once removed: Wilhelm von Nassau-Dillenburg (1487-1559) was his grandfather and his wife's great-grandfather.
