Friederike Luise Karoline Sofie von Mecklenburg-Strelitz was born 2 March 1778 in Hanover to Karl II. von Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1741-1816) and Friederike von Hessen-Darmstadt (1752-1782) and died 29 June 1841 Hanover of unspecified causes. She married Friedrich Ludwig Karl von Preußen (1773-1796) 26 December 1793 in Berlin, Germany. She married Friedrich Wilhelm zu Solms-Braunfels (1770-1814) 1798 in Berlin, Germany. She married Ernest Augustus I of Hanover (1771-1851) 29 May 1815 in Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
