Friedrich Wilhelm II. von Preußen, König von Preußen, Kurfürst von Brandenburg, Markgraf von Brandenburg, was born 25 September 1744 in Berlin, Germany to August Wilhelm von Preußen (1722-1758) and Luise Amalie von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (1722-1780) and died 16 November 1797 Potsdam of unspecified causes. He married Elisabeth Christine Ulrike von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (1746-1840) 14 July 1765 in Charlottenburg. He married Friederike Luise von Hessen-Darmstadt (1751-1805) 14 July 1769 in Charlottenburg.
