Georg Wilhelm, Herzog zu Braunschweig-Lüneburg was born 26 January 1624 in Herzberg am Harz, Lower Saxony, Germany to Georg von Braunschweig-Lüneburg (1582-1641) and Anna Eleonore von Hessen-Darmstadt (1601-1659) and died 28 August 1705 Wienhausen, Lower Saxony, Germany of unspecified causes. He married Éléonore Marie d'Esmier d'Olbreuse (1639-1722) 12 April 1665 .
