George Ezzy was born 16 April 1851 in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia to Charles Ezzy (c1802-1854) and Catherine Bootle (1810-1856) and died 16 May 1931 Maitland Benevolent Home, Maitland, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Jean Clark (1856-1937) 28 June 1876 in Moree, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituaries
Mr. George Ezzy passed away on Saturday last at the Maitland Benevolent Home. He was 80 years old, and had been an inmate of the institution since 1914. He was a well-known figure in Moree some years ago, where he was an hotel keeper.
He is survived by his widow and three daughters, Mrs. R. Dilley, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Manton, who were chief mourners at the graveside. A most impressive service was held by Rev. C. W. J. Gumbley at the Home before the funeral, which was attended by members of deceased's family, the Matron, Sub-Matron, and inmates. Deceased's favourite hymn, 'Jesu, Lover of my Soul,' was sung and the inmates then followed the hearse to the gates of the Home.
Through the kindness of Rev. C. W. J. Gumbley, four of the inmates attended the funeral in his car.
Mr. George Ezzy, a well known former resident of Moree, passed away in the Maitland Benevolent Home last week.
The deceased, who was 80 years of age, was, many years ago, licensee of Tattersall's Hotel, and later licensee of the Commercial Hotel, which, in those far off days, occupied the land where Messrs. Lillyman Bros.' cordial factory is now erected.
We understand that he is survived by his wife, one son and four daughters.
