Obituary
Mr. George Fife, a resident of the Golburn district for about half a century, died at his residence, Gundary, on Thursday night from heart failure, supervening on an attack of bronchitis. He was a native of the north of Ireland, and on his arrival was employed for a number of years by the late Dean Sowerby. He subsequently settled at Boro and carried on farming there. A few years ago he let his farm, and settled at Gundary, still following agricultural pursuits. Deceased has left a widow, one son, who lives on the north coast, and two daughters. Both of the latter are married. Mr. Fife was very hard working, and was held in great respect by all who knew him for his integrity and good nature. His funeral took place on Sunday at the Church of England cemetery, Bronte, the Rev. E. S. Robinson, of Lake Bathurst, officiating. An elder brother, Mr. Nixon Fife, died a few months ago.
