Obituary

The death took place at Raglan yesterday morning of one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of the district in the person of Mr. George Long. Deceased was born at Cambridgeshire, England, 81 years ago. At the age of 20 he came to Raglan, where he had resided ever since. He is survived by his sorrowing widow, four sons, George (Ryde), William (Bathurst), Frederick (Raglan), and Albert (Bathurst), three daughters, Alice (Mrs. King, of Toowoomba), Lillian (Mrs. Musgrove, of Musswellbrook), Gertrude (Mrs. Aitkenhead, of Fivedock). There are twenty-nine grand-children and four great grand-children. The funeral will leave the deceased's late residence this afternoon at 2.30 for the Holy Trinity Church at Kelso.
