George Sholto Douglas, 17th Earl of Morton, was born 23 December 1789 to John Douglas (1756-1818) and Frances Lascelles (1762-1817) and died 31 March 1858 of unspecified causes. He married Frances Theodora Rose (-1879) 3 July 1817 .
