Gertrude Elizabeth Tyler was born 16 February 1836 in Farrandsville, Clinton County, Pennsylvania, United States to Daniel Tyler (1799-1882) and Emily Lee (1813-1864) and died 26 April 1895 Turin, Italy of unspecified causes. She married Charles Carow (1825-1883) 8 June 1857 in Norwich, New London County, Connecticut, United States.
