He probably inherited the Principality of Stepan from his father after his death.
Since in 1290 his son, Ivan Glebovich, was mentioned on the throne of the Principality of Stepan, it means Gleb was no longer alive.

He was married to Izmaragda, the daughter of Prince Vyshgorod [[Rostislav Rurikovich . His son was Ivan, the next prince of Stepan. According to one of the versions, Yelena Glebovna, wife of the Prince of Lutsk Roman Daniilovich, was the daughter of Gleb Rostislavovich, instead of being the daughter of Gleb of Volkovysk
