Harriet died at Sams Flat when she was run over by the sulky she was travelling in. The horse bolted and she fell under the wheel.

Mrs. M. Lahey, of Tia, was driving in a sulky with her daughter, when the sulky collided with a stump. Mrs. Lahey was thrown to the ground with great force and injured her spine.
