Healthfield was a farm on Topsail Road in St John's, Newfoundland.
It is barely traceable in the 21st century except in genealogical pages that stem from Robin Patterson's published data.
However, http://collections.mun.ca/cdm/ref/collection/telegram20/id/2213 is an issue of the Evening Telegram (St. John's, N.L.), 1919-08-14, containing the following advertisement:
- "LOST — on Friday night, on Topsail Road. $26.00 In Notes. Finder please return to Robert A. Cowan, Healthfield Farm, or to this office, and get reward."
The same newspaper had an advertisement for Furness Line sailings: Furness Withy & Co., Limited; that Furness was quite possibly a relative of the Cowans: Robert Alexander Cowan (1899-1982) married Jessie Furness (who had been born in County Durham).
A little earlier we find "Dec 5, 1916 ... Died Monday, Mrs. Annie (Peter) Gibson, aged 46, at her home , Healthfield, Topsail Road. Wife of Peter Cowan. Daughter of late Alexander Gibson and granddaughter of late James Gibson. Of Presbyterian Church.
