Henry Hassall Lawry was born 14 December 1821 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia to Walter Lawry (1793-1859) and Mary Cover Hassall (1799-1825) and died 6 May 1906 Wanganui, New Zealand of unspecified causes. He married Hephzibah Forsaith (1824-1897) 1 May 1849 in Wesleyan Chapel, Auckland, New Zealand.

John Aldred, Wesleyan Minister, of Nelson, to Mary Australia, youngest daughter of the Rev. W. Lawry, General Superintendent of Wesleyan Missions in the South Seas.
