Henry John Cornish was born 20 July 1824 in England, United Kingdom to Thomas Cornish (bef1824) and Fanny (bef1824) and died 23 January 1908 Taree, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Melanie Sarah Rudder (1837-1911) 18 November 1874 in Macleay River, New South Wales, Australia.
He and his wife seem to have adopted her orphaned niece, Mary Flora Davidson (1875-1913), who was known as "Mary Flora Davidson-Cornish" or "Mary Flora Cornish". They had no children of their own.
