Major Henry Pickard was born on July 9, 1803 in New York. Henry came to Chautauqua County with his family in March of 1816. He held the rank of Major in the New York State Militia during the Civil War. Henry died on December 29, 1882 Busti, New York. The funeral was held in the Baptist Church in Busti.
