He married Apphia Swasey (1831-1914) 14 July 1851 in Waterbury, Washington County, Vermont, United States.
Henry Stackpole is shown as being born in Maine c. 1828. His eldest child was born c. 1853 in VT, indicating that he moved from maine to Vermont at least one year prior to that, since he would have had to have met and married wife Aphia, by 1852. So, most likely he was there by 1851 if not earlier.
